ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY


The term "player" includes any person or entity using the service, as well as any person or entity acting on behalf of such person or entity in relation to using the service.


Any player, by using our service agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement which supplement our terms of website use.


http://www.huntedcow.com/ is the home page of a site operated by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd, which is a company registered in Scotland under company number SC262870 and registered office/trading address at 100 High Street, Elgin, Moray, IV30 1BW. Our VAT number is GB 855 476586.


You must be 13 years or older to create and/or use a game account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from your legal guardian or parents to create an account and play. If we feel this approval has not been given, we reserve the right to terminate the account without notice.


Player shall use the service in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules and regulations.

The player agrees that he/she is solely responsible for all actions that occur under his account.


Any opinions expressed by a player on the boards and on private messages are those of the player alone, and are not to be attributed to Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. We are under no obligation to oversee, monitor or moderate any message facility on our service and we expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of any board or message service by a player in contravention of this agreement, whether the service is moderated or not.


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd cannot and does not assume responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, safety, timeliness, legality or applicability of anything said or written by any player. Hunted Cow Studios Ltd cannot control the information provided by players. Players' information might be offensive, harmful, untimely, inaccurate and/or deceptive and, accordingly, you agree to exercise caution, discretion and common sense when using the service.


The player agrees that he/she is solely responsible for any damages done to his computer or data loss by using our service.


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error free.


Promoting any game which is not owned by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, links within a post, avatars, signature images or text and in game messages.


Negative comments regarding the costs, or any other game related charges are not allowed.


Game bugs should be reported directly via our support centre (http://support.huntedcow.com). You may, however, also post bugs in the Bugs Forum in order to ascertain whether what you experienced is, in fact, a bug.


Bugs which are a potential exploit to the game should not be posted publicly. They should be brought to the immediate attention of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd via our support centre (http://support.huntedcow.com).


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd may, at their discretion, terminate any game account with or without notice, without disclosing a reason for doing so. Under these circumstances any remaining time or services paid for will become null and void and any items on the character will be deleted.


You may not advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying, selling, trading, sharing, or transferring access to any game account or any commodities within the game. All characters and items are the property of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.


The player agrees that he is not eligible for refunds under any circumstances.


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. judge every support ticket on a case-by-case basis, just because another player has had a ticket dealt with in one way, it does not imply that you will be dealt with in exactly the same way. Also you may not publish private communications from Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. staff members, or forum moderators without authorization.


During registration you are asked to select a password, you may not share that password with anybody, or allow anybody to use your password to play. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and for any loss of access, items, termination of accounts etc. resulting from sharing the password, or not ensuring it's confidentiality. Attempting to obtain, or using the password of anyone else is not allowed and may lead to termination of both accounts.


Usernames which contain offensive words are liable to be changed at any time (or the account may be terminated at our discretion). We do not check every username that is created, however when they are reported to us we will deal with them accordingly. Please note that it is impossible for us to produce a complete list of innapropriate words, or names and each will be judged on a case-by-case basis and may be deemed inappropriate at Hunted Cow Studios Ltd's discretion.


Player run competitions that include, but are not limited to, lotteries, quizzes, or draws that require payment for entry are not permitted. Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. may offer free to enter competitions, all others are considered against our rules and no loses incured by participating in these illegal competitions will be reimbursed by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.


Advertising or promoting any games, other than those run by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd, via any method on our games is strictly against the rules and may lead to account termination.


You may not threaten, harass or abuse a member of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd staff, or forum moderators. We take transgression of this rule very seriously and believe that they have the right to operate in an environment free of those issues and have the right to be treated with respect and courtesy.


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or discontinue the service or modify the terms and conditions of players' access to the service, without notice to players, and shall not be liable to the player or any third party for doing so. All the accounts created are the property of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd.


The player agrees to indemnify Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. against liability for any use of his account including (but not limited to) reasonable administrative and legal costs.


The player agrees that no information obtained from Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. and/or Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. team, whether it is oral or written, will create any warranty.


Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. may, at any time, modify any of the terms and conditions contained in this agreement with or without notice. If you do not agree to the changes, your only remedy is to discontinue use of the service. Your continued use of the service will constitute binding acceptance of the new agreement.


If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed superseded by a valid enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Hunted Cow Studios Ltd's failure to act with respect to a breach by player or others does not waive Hunted Cow Studios Ltd's right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. The failure of Hunted Cow Studios Ltd to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.


This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. and player with respect to the subject matter hereof. By a player’s use of the service the player agrees that this agreement shall be governed by the Law of Scotland and accepts that the Sheriff Court of Elgin shall be the appropriate jurisdiction for any such disputes.
